Well hello there!
Welcome to my little corner of the internet. Its still a bit of a work in progress, but we’re getting there. Web design is not my strong suit!
I thought I’d start off with exactly why I created this website.
Well… I’ve always been a crafty person. Enjoying making things, and turning “stuff” into something beautiful.
When my husband proposed to me, I knew that wanted to do most of the decorations myself, and that included the flowers. Mainly because we wanted a bright blue for our theme, but also so that we had the memories. So, I did a bunch of web browsing, and discovered the amazing Lia Griffith website. From there, I discovered a passion for crepe paper flowers. And my mum keeps telling me that I’m really good at them 🙂
However, I discovered that getting the type of crepe paper that worked best to hold the shape and have the strength required to look realistic, was quite difficult to source in little old Aotearoa! As I improved and made more flowers, I also worked out what materials worked best for me. After doing all that hard work, I decided to create a one stop shop for other people who like the idea of crepe paper flowers.
So, please, feel free to take a load off and have a browse around the site. There will be some more things coming, such as a gallery, and some downloadable templates. And also keep an eye out for some more blog posts about the differences between the papers I stock and why I prefer and use these ones. I’ll also be sharing some of the handy dandy tips and tricks that I’ve picked up along the way 🙂
